To use the self-service procurement portal, I want to navigate from the Project Definition to the materials&Services to open the procurement portal from there. Which LTU allows me to perform these actions?

If I only assign the EMP_SELF_SERV_PROC_LTU to a user, I cannot first go to my project to open the materials and services menu. I want to open the procurement portal from that activity. What is the solution for this?

@SNBDEJOO ,

EMP_SELF_SERV_PROC_LTU alone is not sufficient for this scenario.

To navigate from Project Definition → Activities → Materials & Services and access the Purchase Portal, the user also needs access to the relevant Project and Demand/Procurement-related LTUs.

Typically, you need to combine:

  • Project-related LTUs (to access project structure and activities)

  • Demand / Material handling LTUs (to access Materials & Services)

  • Self-service procurement LTU (for the portal itself)

Without the project and demand permissions, the user won’t be able to reach the Materials & Services screen, even if the procurement portal LTU is assigned.

So the solution is to assign a combination of LTUs covering:

  1. Project access

  2. Materials/Demand handling

  3. Self-service procurement

Thanks
