Hi Team,

The Package Part functionality is currently limited to sales. However, in the inter-company transaction flow, there's a requirement to receive the parts at the demanding site as a Package Part through the inbound logistics process, rather than as individual components

Has anyone been able to handle this within the core functionality?

@Ashni Nayanthara I dont think there is a direct way of doing this. I think it is very rare for two companies to have the same package structure.
However, I remember this was discussed in this post long ago - still relevant. Add Package Parts to Intercompany/Intersite Orders | IFS Community

Hi @Ashni Nayanthara ,

We have introduced Internal Direct Deliveries for Package Parts functionality recently. I will summerize available functionality for your reference.

The direct delivery of the package part, which is a set of components offered under a single part number, at a single price, or with a discount, from internal or external suppliers.

Making use of the provided code Purchase order lines for the package part are created using Internal Purchase Direct/Purchase Direct rather than for the components.

On the supply site, however, components are fetched at the time the order is created.

The direct delivery is created at the demand site for the entire package.

Additional functionalities such as Replication, Sales Quotation Handling, Intrastat Improvements, and the capability to undo the delivery of the Intercompany flow are also available.

Version: IFS Cloud 24R1 onwards.

Hope this info will help at some extent.

regards,

Piyal

Hi @Piyal Perera ,

Thanks for information. I’m stuck with Internal Purchase Transfer than direct requirement. Any chance this is in roadmap for future ?
