What will happen if include safety stock for planning method G parts?. Here we upload forecast and exists min. & max. stock levels.

Thank you very much for your support. From what I understand through the link, the demand model and the safety stock model are two distinct methods. Since we use the demand model and upload forecasts into the system, there’s no need to include safety stock.

Please correct me if I’m mistaken.
If safety stock is included in the demand model, does the MRP account for both the safety stock and forecast, thereby projecting a higher demand?


@AJWEE Yes, if you define the safety stock, it should be considered by MRP. Based on your operation, you could decide whether you need to setup the safety stock or not.

Once MRP ran, Purchase Requisition was created for 40 by considering safety stock as well.
