Is it possible to turn off purchase order change orders so a change order is never required, regardless of authorization rules?
This is controlled first at the site level
Then at the supplier level, you can individually by supplier decide to follow the site default, make it optional, or not required.
You have a fair bit of flexibility on the setup, but I would make sure your Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Finance Manager are all ok with the setup change, you lose a significant amount of traceability to the POs themselves without the change order. So turning off completely should be a considered decision.
We don’t allow PO changes without change orders because they rapidly get out of control with loss of ability for quality metrics, purchasing control and just general understanding of the state of things.
