Does the Supply Chain Part Groups work for Distribution Orders?

We are using Distribution Orders for Site to Site supply from a Manufacturing Site to Sales Sites.  We want to ship everything Sea except for Electronic Parts.

  1. I have the Supply Chain Matrix for Site set up, and have added an Exception for Electronic Parts.

  2. I added a Supply Chain Part Group to IFS Called “Electronic Parts”.

  3. I added the Supply Chain Part Group to the Inventory Part.

The system is still creating DOs with SEA for the part.

Hi Jenifer,

Your configuration seems to be ok. I tried and the DO created manually is correctly fetching the parameters in my exception.

How do you usually create the Distribution Orders?

Regards,

Pilar

Hi Pilar,

We normally create them using Master Schedule (MS Level 1 and MS Level 2).

Thank you,

Jenifer

Hi Jenifer,

Sorry, but I’m not familiar with MS functionality, so not sure how to replicate the DO creation flow.

Then, I suggest you to open a Support ticket so this can be investigated with your configuration and actual data.

Sorry for not bein able to help

Regards,

Pilar
