I want to make the route unusable, but "update to obsolete is not allowed for the default alternate unless it has been phased out." returns error message.

What processes will ending the material's validity date affect? We just want to cancel the route of the material.

You should of course add the ROUTING Phase Out Date here

I tried but the same error comes up again.

Make sure the Phase Out Date is a date in the past (e.g., NOT today) 🙂
