Is there any way of retrieving a price from the last purchase order for a new order automatically?
Not directly.
You can setup some jobs to run Calculate Purchase Costs using the Last Purchase Price as the value to find. We run this job quarterly to keep an up-to-date reference of the LPP.
You could take this further by having a job update the SfPP price from the LPP, this could be accomplished using a couple of migration jobs that are also setup to be run on a schedule.
Or you could have the Buyer’s reference the LPP value that is found from the Calculate Purchase Costs job and update the SfPP manually, that would then be used on the next PO creation whether the PO was created manually or automatically.
