A question for technical experts please,

We need to implement a modification in IFS where,

  1. A Free text box to be introduced to the Supplier window to input the text used right now on sticky note

  2. When the PO is loaded, (e.g. query by a user) that piece of info is to be fetched from the Supplier need to be popped up as an Information message. Users can ok it and proceed with the PO

Do you think this is technically feasible at all, especially point 2?

Hi @EnzoFerrari ,

What version of IFS are you utilizing?

If you are on IFS Application 10 are you using IEE or Aurena interface?

Option #1 is simple a custom text field on the supplier.

Option #2 would be the tricky one to implement without an IFS modification.

IFS10 IEE.

So you think no.2 is possible to implement with a modification?

Think the best means to achieve no.2 is using an info card. It can be moved to a desired place and will keep displaying read-only info. The info card is pretty easy to set up, and can fetch data from a custom field set up on the supplier.

Hi @asanka  and @EnzoFerrari ,

Using info card is an interesting solution and should do the job while using IEE.

@EnzoFerrari  when you decide to either move to the Aurena interface or upgrade to the next IFS release you'll have to find a new solution unless IFS adds info cards to Aurena interface but for now I think its a good solution.

Thanks @asanka, that’ll do I think. Yes @william.klotz, Aurena is in the discussion, but we haven’t fixed a date yet :)
