Hello,

Is it possible to freeze a PO so units cannot be received against the PO lines until it is released?  If so, how do I enable this functionality in IFS10?

Thank you,

Steve

Hi @Steven DaSilva ,

You can temporarily stop the purchase order by selecting Freeze in the operations menu as shown below;

Once you freeze it the status will be set to ‘Stopped’ and you have to release it again in order to continue the order flow.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Yasanthi

Hi All,

I just want to make sure I get the difference between “Cancel” and “Freeze” :

  • Freeze allows you to block the PO _ but you can release the PO again later on. It is just a momentary stoppage in the flow.
  • Cancel will block the PO forever, once it is done you cannot go back.

Is my assumption correct ?

@baptiste.herve correct. Additionally, the supply from POs in status Freeze will not be shown in Inventory Part Availability Planning and will be ignored by MRP.
