Preventing Receipting

I have checked Apps 10 standard reference environment, but couldn’t find a standard functionality to fulfill your requirement.

However, I believe temporarily restricting Receipt user access will be a good workaround if it works for your business. Otherwise, a customization would be the next option.

There is an option to freeze the purchase order from the PO header itself, which may restrict receiving the items into inventory.

Path for Cloud: PO → Use “Operations” option → “Freeze” on the PO header

Path for APPS: PO in Planned/Released status → RMB → Freeze

Then, the PO status will be changed to Stopped, and the PO can later be released and continue normally.

Another way to do it is by blocking the receipts at the warehouse/location levels. 

Below setting can be enabled for the relevant location (even it at the warehouse level), so the the receipts will not be allowed. 

I believe you have separate locations for inbound PO arrivals. Then you can enable the setting for such only.

​@BABPAULS just to clarify, are you looking for a method to prohibit arrivals to be registered during a specific timeframe, e.g., no receipts on Thursday mornings between 9-11 AM?

Hi Matt. No, it’s more for a defined period like two days next week for example, but not a regular occurrence
