A colleague is receiving th below error when trying to confirm a PO, although it appears that by making the same attempt around 10 times it will eventually go through.

 

Is there another stage in the process that should be completed before confirming the PO?

-You will receive this information message upon releasing the PO, to notify that Purchase Authorization is needed to be done.

-In your PO, did you check the Authorization Tab?
-It should have fetched the available Authorization Rule (which is in Active status)

-So you have to get it Authorized by the relevant Authorizers or Authorizer groups

-In the Authorization tab right click in the lines and perform Authorize, so that the Authorization can be completed

-Then you are good to move ahead with release / confirm

Hi,
It seems, authorization is required before proceeding to confirm the purchase order.
Go to the ‘Authorization’ tab in the PO-->Right click on the line-->Authorize. Then you should be able to confirm without an error.
