Hi, Is it possible to set the MRP parameters to only look so far ahead? At the moment, as soon as a req is created (even if for next year), MRP suggests buying or making the stock. I do not want to consider that order until at 3 months prior to required date. It would be ideal to see demand without any req’s being generated. Using planning method G currently.

   Thanks, Dan

In 22.1 the MRP Horizon was introduced. The calculation uses this to determine how far out to look when considering open demands and supplies.

When running Site MRP ad hoc, the MRP Horizon in Date is the date which you want to end the Demand from MRP Calculation. No Demands will be considered beyond the entered Date for the MRP Calculation.
When running Site MRP as a scheduled task, the MRP Horizon in Days determines the date which you want to end the Demand from MRP Calculation

Thanks for this Matt but where is MRP horizon date? All i have in Apps 10 is the run date available but this sounds like exactly what i am looking for.

Dan

Prior to version 22.1 the MRP Horizon was not available.

Hi Matt

I have checked and we are on update 25 but i can not locate this horizon date anywhere, any ideas?

   Thanks, Dan

It looks like that is an IFS cloud only addition.

Yes, this was introduced in 22R1.
