Hello Community,

We are using IFS APPS 8.

Need to know the difference between MIN Lot Size,MAX Lot Size , Multiple Lot Size and Safety Stock present in Inventory part Planning.

Regards

Deepak

Hi @Deepak ,

Inventory part planning is an in depth topic and I’d recommend going to you F1Docs and doing a search for Inventory Part Planning to review.    Below are simplified definitions taken from the IFS Help on the Inventory Part Planning page by clicking in the field and seeing the help at the bottom of IFS Enterprise Explorer.  <Your Server>/ifsdoc/documentation/en/Invent/frmInventoryPart.htm

Min Lot Size: The value in this field indicates that the lot size for this part will be at least equal to the quantity specified. If the value is 0 (zero), the lot size will not be calculated.

Max Lot Size: The maximum lot size defines the maximum size of lots generated by material requirements planning (MRP).

Multiple Lot Size: A value in this field indicates that MRP will round up net requirements to a multiple of this value when calculating the receipts. Shop orders created from shop order requisitions will use multiple lot size values defined here.

Safety Stock: A quantity of stock that is planned to remain in inventory to protect against fluctuations of demand or supply.
