Hi,

Why in most of lots/Batches after update manufacturing date in screen lot/batch master and save it, after re-query it again the manufacturing date column is found as blank like nothing is saved.

is there any reason for it?

Thank you.

Hi, I’m struggling to understand what is happening for you.

Please can you provide some screen shots showing the process you are describing, highlighting the fields you are referring to.

With additional information, it will be easier for me or the wider community to assist.

This is not an issue I have seen before - but I have never tried to update the manufactured date on the lot batch master.

kindly see the manufacturing date column in the attached screen below. I think if order type is not null, the column is not saved but why?

hi @bldrayi ,

I just checked IFS App10. My entered data retrived.

Thank you but if the order type is counting (order_ref1 is 😉, the manufacturing date is not retrieved.

Best Regards,

and the counting transaction is old since 2022, there are many transactions done after that date like customer order delivery and return material but still order type is counting in lot/batch screen. I checked in lot/batch history.

Can you identify the first transaction where that batch was created?

Do all of the LBM records you have a problem with have an order type of counting?

I think this was probably from a count per inv part transaction - and will have a COUNT-IN transaction code.

I’d have to test to be sure, but I don’t think IFS treats counting as a manufacturing type transaction - so therefore, even though you add a manufactured date to the lot batch master record, the save doesn’t “fix” the date in that field.

Yes as you mentioned , it was created from count per inventory part. we can continue working with such lot but the order type in LBM is not changed for such case. it is required to add manufacturing date even for the purchased lots (like in cosmetics or medicines or others).

Thank you.

Hi - We also have a similar (one off so far) issue - This has occurred when an item was receipted in from an RMA. Lot batch was manually entered.

hi @bldrayi

I think in this instance, you’ll most likely need to create a custom field on the LBM record to hold the date of manufacture for parts which have not been manufactured in IFS.
