HI,

Can anyone elaborate on the purpose of Internal Destination?  This is the HELP info:

Internal destinations are used when you receive material from your supplier and perform an internal distribution to the location where the parts are requested.

We have created an ID and have added it to a Work Task.

Created a Purchase Req and then a PO, and when we go to Register Arrival, we can see the Destination on the line.

Is there something more to this functionality?  Are we missing a step?

Thanks,

Jo Kasper

Hi,

  • It is provided as a value that can be printed in the ‘Arrival report’
  • internal destination is used as a control type in M53 (However I could not find it as a control type for maintenance related posting M50)

Hi @jokasper ,

You have same field in Material Request window.

Here you are able to use Control type C99 in with posting type M53.

Yet when it comes to posting Control M50 ( Internal destination from Work task), there is no such control type which is connected with internal destination IDs and also C99 is not connected to any other posting type also other than M53. Nevertheless Internal destination ID will be available at Arrival Report ( Image from IFS standard layout).

Hope this helps you.
