IFS Supply Invoice interface to ABBYY

Hi, Community,

Does anyone have experience with ABBYY?

We are planning to build the interface ABBYY to IFS, in the future, all supplier invoices will be digitally input/output via this interface.

I believe we should go with API.

Need some help to understand how we can send and receive files in IFS.

For example, in below items,

1. a designated folder periodically pull data from IFS, ABBYY listen and retrieve the data? what kind of job should be created in IFS? 
2. a FTP folder designed for ABBYY download the supplier invoice, and IFS pick up and read into IFS?
3. security?
4. Access?
