In our current IFS Cloud 26R1 implementation, we have identified a business requirement to manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL) at the supplier address level, rather than only at the supplier level.
Our customer is a co-packer in the food industry, packaging products on behalf of various suppliers.
For example, a supplier may provide cereal for packaging into different types of consumer packaging. However, that supplier may manufacture the cereal at several different production facilities, each represented by a separate Address ID in IFS Cloud.
Due to food safety and quality requirements, the customer may only approve products originating from specific production facilities. Therefore, a supplier may be approved, but only certain Address IDs associated with that supplier should be approved for sourcing.
We would like to understand:
-
Does IFS Cloud 26R1 support managing the Approved Supplier List at the Supplier Address ID level?
-
If not, is there any standard functionality or recommended approach to restrict approved sourcing to specific supplier addresses?
-
Are there any plans on the IFS roadmap to extend ASL functionality to support supplier address-specific approvals?
Our goal is to ensure that materials can only be sourced from approved supplier production locations, even when other locations belong to the same supplier.
