Highlight all lines on a screen at once

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Is there a way to highlight/select all lines on a screen (‘Parts’ for example) without having to click on the first record and drag down until the bottom of the page? This can be cumbersome when you have hundreds/thousands of records.

Hi @kelli.kaskiw ,

If you are using IFS Enterprise Explorer you can highlight a line then scroll down to the end of the list and press SHIFT then click on the last line and all the lines between the two highlighted lines will be highlighted.  We use this method a lot when we have a large list.

Hi @kelli.kaskiw ,

As far as i know unfortunately there is no such selection method other than the cursor drag down or Shift+ Down. This is to optimize the client performance as only limited number of lines are loaded at a time and next records will only be loaded as and when you scroll down. However if you are trying to make an output of these records, ‘Select All’ option is available .

Hi @kelli.kaskiw

When you populate or  search some results, first record will be the selected one as the default one. As mentioned by Susith, you can use Shift+ Down select lines. But unfortunately there is not such option to select all the lines with a single click.

Best Regards

hi @kelli.kaskiw,

First select the first line to start, then press “SHIFT + Page Down” keys together, until you reach the end, if you refer IEE client.

When you select the first line, make sure to click from this circled area.

The fastest way to do this if you have more than a 1000 records on the screen is this sequence.

Select a record

Ctrl+End (to go to the last record in the list, this saves the page down method and partial loading of records by forcing the auto-load of all of them)

Highlight the last Record

Scroll to the top record, hold the Shift key, then select the top record
