We’re trying to amend the Demand Plan Forecast Parts in IFS, but they all show status of ‘locked’

How can they be unlocked?

(We’re running APPS 9)

Hi Andy,

This has to be done in the Demand Plan Client.

If you want to do it ‘one part at a time’ change the value in Detail View at the bottom of the screen.  Then, click onto the next forecast part to ‘save’.

If you want to do it for a group of parts, select the ‘Group’ icon …

Then use the ‘Copy Down’ option to select and set the status as ‘Released’ for all parts in the selected group.  I don’t have an IFS Applications 9 version running, but I think ‘Copy Down’ is under ‘Tools’

I hope this helps.

Hi @Richard Owen I’ve read that they are getting rid of the demand plan client in the very near future. Do you know how this will be handled without the client in cloud?

Hi @Anna It is possible to perform all of the functions directly in IFS Cloud using the ‘Demand Forecast’ screen which is the replacement for the old Demand Client.

For example, the equivalent of unlocking forecast parts now looks like this in IFS Cloud:

If you want to do it ‘one part at a time’ change the value in the Misc <tab> at the bottom of the screen and press ‘Save’.

If you want to do it for a group of parts, select the ‘Group’ icon …

Then use the ‘Copy Down’ option to select and set the status as ‘Released’ for all parts in the selected group.

I hope that this helps!
