Question

Directing Specific Purchase Parts to a specific warehouse/remote warehouse

Hi Community,

One of my customers maintains a separate warehouse for Dangerous Goods (DGR), located some distance from the central warehouse.

The requirement is that when a Purchase Requisition is raised for specific DGR parts, these items should be delivered directly to the designated Dangerous Goods warehouse rather than the central warehouse.

I understand that we can create a Remote Warehouse and manually select it as the destination warehouse on the Purchase Requisition line. However, this requires manual intervention.

Is there any standard functionality in IFS Cloud to automate this process?

Specifically, is it possible to define a default receiving warehouse for certain inventory parts so that the correct warehouse is automatically selected when a Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order is created.

Any workarounds are highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chamath

Hi,

I am only aware of the possibility to control the Destination Warehouse on the Purchase Requisition for the entire site, I don’t think there is a way to control this for a group of specific parts. I guess you can solve this via a BPA Workflow or custom event, by using some of the grouping possibilities on parts and decide the Destination Warehouse based on this?
