I’ve setup Purchase Order Authorization rules. Rules are Released. The rule is wide open so all of the “Apply Regardless..” are checked. The Min on the rule is set to $500,000

I have a Supplier Agreement of type Blanket Purchase Order. I go and Create Supplier Agreement Release, and create a release for a PO value of $750,000. The PO goes directly to a Released status, and it does not trigger the authorization rule. Why?

Why would a Blanket Release not trigger the Purchase Order Authorization rule when the value is clearly above the minimum of the PO rule?

@Cirrostratus This is by design.  It’s expected the Blanket Supplier Agreement signifies an agreed upon relationship with the supplier for those item(s).  In a sense, IFS considers them “already authorized”.

Thanks for the quick reply! The only problem with that “feature” is that the Agreement Quotation Approval does not trigger the PO approval rules. It allows the buyer to just RMB and click Approve. So it allows the buyer, without any oversight, create some very valuable PO’s.

That’s a fair point.  In these cases, we’d usually manage this via permissions.  For example, only letting select users ‘Approve’ the Quotation Approval.
