What does this error mean: The assigned Service Department cannot receive events of this type.

In version 11.8.1, we are trying to assign internal user, but get the error in the subject.  I don’t quite understand “receive events of this type”. I’m thinking this is some type of setup, but digging through the items, I don’t see of how this would be configured.

Hi Michael,

This is related to the Event Type panel on the Service Department form or Event Type form (introduced in 11.8  - Configuration menu > assyst Infrastructure > Event Type)

  • Open the SVD form
  • Load ‘June Test’
  • Check Event Type pane
  • Add any type of event this SVD is allowed to be assigned to.

Thanks for the lead on the Wiki page - I did not have the Events page.  I found going to the Privilege Group, selecting the one that I have for my user, under Entity Privileges, added “Event Type Service Department” allowed that field to be displayed in my Service Department.
