Creating a new Event it gives this error: You do not have privileges to attach this process

On AssystME 11.8.1 (On Prem) - we are getting this error for a certain privilege group that my user belongs to.  I’m sure this is something within the Privilege group, but unsure of what is needed.

Hi Michael,

You are right, looks like a Permission option is missing in the logged-in assyst user’s Privilege Group.

Check the Event Privileges pane for ‘Attach Process (Events assigned to)’

I have the same issue and this didn’t work for me.  The user has this and they still can’t attach the process.

What is the ‘Attach Process (Events assigned to)’ privilege set to, for that user?

  • Any: the assyst user is allowed to attach a process to all Events
  • Own: the assyst user is allowed to attach a process to all Events currently assigned to their own Service Department

If this does not explain the behaviour, please log an incident with our support team in the normal manner so they can investigate this further for you.

I was able to fix it by going into the privilege group assigned to the user and added MODIFY LOGGING DATE and make sure its set to ANY - this has nothing to do with the wording of the error and they had all the process options added but for some reason logging date was what fixed it.
