Does anyone know whether or not it is possible to configure a URL link, so that when clicked from an email it directs the user to a custom form on assystMe and auto populates a specific field with a variable pulled from the originating email?

Hello Chris,

What you are trying to achieve using a URL link is not currently possible; however, this seems like a good suggestion.

Please log your idea using the link below (ideas area). This will allow the customer community to view the suggestion and comment or vote on it.

  1. Describe your idea in as much detail as possible.
  2. Before saving, enter 'assyst' in both the Product area and the Tags fields.
  3. Click Create!

If you would like to use IPaaS/ETM to create the event, please have a look at this post:Extracting data from Email Body to Import into Custom Field via assystETM | IFS Community

Hi @R-CHRIS
There is already an idea for something similar to what you are requesting:

If URL parameters were supported for event logging in Self‑Service, it should be possible to create clickable links in emails sent from Assyst. This could, for instance, be achieved by using a VTL template in an Email to User action, or by triggering an ETM channel to generate the email if more complex data mapping is required.

Support for such URL parameters would need to be added, so it would be great if you could add your use case to the linked idea 🙂

Best regards,
Richard
