I created a Workflow Configuration (Portal and mWO) for Work Task where the action “Task Measurement” is enabled and defined as “Mandatory”.in IFS Cloud 24R2.
When I completed a Work Assignment of a work task without registration of any measurement, I expected that I get a message.
Is this functionality only working for mWO and not for Technician Portal?

Hi
We are using 23.2.15. This functionality is not working as expected. We can complete work without completing steps.
Hello @HAHEDE @kasunhp
This feature is currently implemented only in the MWO (Mobile Work Order) application and not within the Tech Portal.
It looks like the mandatory flags were mistakenly kept when the workflow configuration was set to "Used in = Tech Portals." To fix this, the mandatory field will be removed for workflow configurations used in Tech Portals.
We were trying to make completion of task actions mandatory in MWO. But, the mandatory flag is missing in WFCs.
IFS Cloud Web version: 23.2.16.20250305080344.0.
Any idea?
Hi @kasunhp,
The "Task Step Action" in Workflow Configuration is designed to enable or disable task steps functionality for viewing, processing, or adding task steps.
At this point, there has been no requirement to make the Task Step field mandatory.
Could you please raise a community idea, providing a clear explanation of your requirement along with the relevant business scenario? It would be helpful if you could specify exactly what you wish to make mandatory—for example, creating new steps, closing them, or any other specific actions etc.
Providing detailed information will assist the team in understanding your needs and evaluating the request effectively.
Thank you!
Hi @MaheeshaK
Thanks for the reply.
The requirement is to completion of all the task steps (Done) before setting the assignment to Complete. ATM. tech can Complete the assignment without completing all the task steps.
