Dear all,

Another strange observation when creating a Service Line on a Service Contract.

After we created the Service Contract header we can add Service Lines ‘New Service Contract Line”. Then we get to a wizard where we can add a ‘Work Type’, and we can add Objects to the ‘Scope’. But when we try this, the ‘Item ID’ drop down remains empty. (Allthough there are definitely available objects - as we can see later).

Because the Item Id drop down is empty, we save the Service Line without any scope. We return to the Service COntract, Expand the contract so we can select the Service Line again; Go to the tab ‘Scope’ and try to add a new line and now it works perfectly. (see printscreen below).

So my question: why is the scope not populating the same drop down when we were creating the line with the wizard.

Best Regards

Roel

Hi @Timmermans Roel

This has been identified as a defect and has been fixed in IFS Cloud 25.1E.0 - 25R1 EA version.

Planned release date: April 10, 2025

I see that you have already found a workaround and 2 other workarounds that can be used when creating the service line is,

1) Cancel the line and add it again or
2) Add another line, and in the 2nd line the LOV will be available. Fill data for the 2nd line and delete the 1st line.

Best Regards,

Thilini

Hi @Thilini Kumarasinghe ,

Thank you for the feedback. Is this fix also going to be implemented in 24RX versions?

If so, what would be the timeline for this?

best Regards

Roel

Hi @Timmermans Roel

You are most welcome.

As per the latest information I have, a fix is only planned for 25R1 version by the Product Development (RnD) team, since there are few workarounds available.

However, if a fix is needed for 24RX versions as well, then kindly report a support case mentioning the business impact and then we can request to re-evaluate based on that impact.

Best Regards,

Thilini
