As per IFS documentation

If the check box** Enable Downtime** selected for a work type category, when a work task with a work type with that work type category is setting to WorkDone state, a dialog will popup to enter down time information for the actual object of the work task. By default this will not be enabled for any work type category. User can enable this only for the required work type categories. If downtime tracking is not required should not enable this checbox on any work type category.

I tested this functionality with a work type category =Preventive but no dialog popped up  as described in IFS documentation .

Any other configuration is required ?

Hi VanChampS,

Check if you have entered, plan start/end and a duration in the work task.

Roshan

@VanChampS and @wrprabash ,

Can one of you tell me since when this functionality is available?

Currenty I am working for an IFS10 customer and they have quite a large CRIM item on this topic.

Is this available in IFS10? If yes, do you have good documentation?

Thanks in advance,

Robert Kool

Champika. Che

I Tested this long time back, But i am sure this functionality was not in 21R1,  it was in 22R1

Yes, this came out in 22R1.  This was one of my main objectives when I was EAM Product Manager.

Hello Jerry,

Thank you very much for the PPT.

Hi Jerry,

can you give us more information regarding the downtime please.

in 22R2 to create downtime is it just a matter of doing the following:

  • Adding a work type that is linked to downtime,
  • Create a WO / WT with that work type
  • Change the status of the work task from started to work done
  • Bingo the Object Downtime popups is displayed?

I suppose what I am asking is there any more setup that is required

Thanks Graham

Sure:  Enable Downtime to a category:

Connect the WT Category to a Work Type:

Enter that Work Type on a Work Task:

Take the task to work done, then fill out the pop up.  You can manually put in the time, but the best way is to enter the duration and let the system backdate (time) it.

I do not see an option to edit the typo error downtimes. Once it is entered it will freeze it.
