When we create a repair work order from a serial object and return the object to inventory, it will be recorded under the “Returns” tab in Prepare Work Order window automatically. But a separate line is not automatically reported under “Materials” tab to issue the materials again. So user need to add it manually to issue parts manually to work order as in the below screenshot. 

But it seems that this is working properly for the serial parts unlike for the serial objects. Can this be considered for releases in near future?
