Story:
-A Component Repair order is created and the Part that that is to be repaired via Repair Order Type = Work Order is connected to a Work Task Template that has Work Type defined.

-When a Repair Work Order is created, that correct Work Task Templated id and tasks are used on the Work Order, BUT the Work Type field is empty.

-Can anyone explaine how i get the Work Type added from the Work Task Template into the Repair Work Order?

Hi,

Basically, A Work Task template assists as a template for PM action creation. If we generate a PM action from the work task template, the information will be copied to the work order generated from the PM action.

Also, the Work task template can be connected to PM actions, WO or service requests through the Jobs and Templates. But when we are connecting WTT to the existing WO, it will not override any details on the WO. But all information on the WO will be inherited by the WT which is created from the WTT.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply!
-A follow-up question, if the WO created from CRO, doesnt get the Work Type from WTT in the example above, is there another way to get a pre-defined Work Type into the WO when its created via CRO?

Hi,

As per my knowledge we do not have any other way to get Work Type when we are creating WO from CRO. In the WO preparing stage we can decide what Work Type should added in to this WO.

Thanks
