Hi,

IFS Cloud 24R2. We have main warehouse and secondary (department) ware house. In maintenance secondary warehouse is alway used to issue materials. But reservation happens on main warehouse instead of secondary warehouse. 

Is there a way to set up reservation default warehouse for maintenance?

Availability control doesn’t help.

Would appreciate it if you could give one or two scenarios where Availability Control has not helped.

For your business case, Availability Control ID, having auto and manual reservations not allowed, should be set up at the Warehouse level directly.

Thank you for quick answer. 

Here are screenshots with setting and situation after autoreservation.

Reservation should be done from 2020 instead of MAIN.

One note: I applied availability control to warehouse after receiving the product to warehouse. Could it be an issue?

Yes, Availability Control ID mapped for a warehouse would work for future transactions only.

Please ensure the Availability Control ID is mapped against all Inventory Part Stock records.

It’s true - there are not availability controls in Parts in Stock.

I’ve completed the chain from purchase to reservation with availability control settings and it worked.

One more question. Is there settings to link default warehouse for reservation for work task to Maintenance organisation or to resource group?

Every department (or maintenance organization) has its own warehouse. And they use materials from their warehouses only. It would be useful to create that link for auto reservation.

Example:

Parts in Stock

Warehouse.  Part.     Qty

WH-MAIN.     A022     98

WH-DEP1.     A022.     35

WH-DEP2.     A022      67

Work task is created for Department2 and A022’s reservation and followed issue should happen on WH-DEP2.

Such functionality is not available, though you can think about warehouse access to configure department-wise user access for reservation and issuance.
