Hello Community,

I am wondering if anyone has experience on RFID Tracking and knows if IFS is capable of utilizing RFID for fully automated asset tracking.

The Idea is that we would want to Track Racking, Bins, Containers, Boxes etc.

Hi,

Technically this is achievable with the IFS Applications!!

If more elaborate over the above, Asset Management has already been delivered something similar to your request with the latest release of Applications. “Asset/Equipment Data Collection”  is a functionality supports receiving senior data  to the Application’s table.

To simulate this with the Application, without being investing for hardware you could use Node-Red flow(there are existing free-libraries which support RFID ) to simulate the RFID signal and test with the Applications instance.

Really happy that your willing to explore new things with the IFS Applications.

If you need any clarification, Do not hesitate to contact me or any below:

@Mayura Wasantha , @deshan.ekanayake , @Pushpa Veerappan  or me.

Congratulations with your project/investigation!

Thanks & Kind regards,

Thank you for the quick response @Krishantha.

Since I don't see “Asset/Equipment Data Collection” in our IFS Instance (APPS 10 - UPD 11), I am guessing it is an additional module we would need to Purchase first?
