We are currently on 24R1 SU6, and notice that the Property Name “FINISH_WITH_TASK” not is documented here or in 24R2. 🙄

I changed the value from FALSE to TRUE in our test environment.

I had a WO in status Work Done, and 2 work task where one was Finished and the other one Work Done.

The expected result was that the WO should change status to “Finished” when the last work task was changed to Finished. The actual result was that the WO changed to status Reported.

I changed the value back to FALSE, and re-tested the same scenario again and got the same result. It seems like the the property not is used in any logic.

Is there any planned changes related to the functionality for this object property to 25R1?

I'm not sure if this will help, but something similar was discussed here: https://community.ifs.com/assets-asset-management-44/work-order-finished-when-work-tasks-are-finished-10447

Hi Frank,

Please see the test plan:

  1. Create a work order.
  1. Set the one work task to finished, and other to work done.
  1. Now set the work task to finished which is in work done state.

The work order will be set to the reported state. This functionality will continue in the next release 25R1 as well.

Noticed that in my original test case I used existing WO’s that had the Finish with Task marked as No. 🙄

When I changed  FINISH_WITH_TASK from FALSE to TRUE in our test environment, and created a new WO it then automatically got the value Finish with Task = Yes.

When Executing the Tasks on the WO it changed to “Finished” as expected when the last work task was changed to Finished.

If the Property Name “FINISH_WITH_TASK” still exists in 25R1 the documentation can be updated with one line stating that the property defines if the the default value for Finish with Task should be No or Yes.

Hi Frank,

The default value for finishing with the task is “No.” However, you can change this to “Yes” from the prepare work order page. If this behavior occurs every time, I suggest you raise a ticket with the IFS support team.

Regards,

Thilina.
