Community,

I don’t see customer warranty does its job in work order when invocing, though object warranty is there, system default is Invoicable, and if you don’t manually change it to Not Invoicable, system will invoice the customer as normally we do.

We are on APP10.

Thank you.

Hello Ron,

Create Customer Warranty Type Template and define on Cost Types what is Customer Warranty.

When the Cost Type is No for Material, the Customer will be not charged for material cost but is visable on the invoice for the customer.

Connect the Price Rule, Warranty Condition.

On the Serial Object you can connect Customer Warranty and connect the required warranty template.

As a result of the customer warranty being activated on the work order, the posting lines that are covered under warranty (defined on the warranty type) will by default be set to Keep revenue = No.

This will ensure that the customer is not invoiced for expenses that are covered under warranty. Reported expenses that are not covered under warranty will be set to Keep revenue = Yes, and will therefore by default be invoiced.

All posting lines need to be authorized. Thereafter the work order can be transferred to a customer order.

If all posting lines transferred to the customer order have a 0 price, no invoice will be created.

This is the proces in workorder manangement in Cloud

Regards,

Hans
