When creating a bookmark for the Maintenance > Equipment > Tools and Equipment page in IFS Cloud 24R1 environment, it opens the Service > Equipment > Tools and Equipment page instead.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to Tools and Equipment via Maintenance > Equipment > Tools and Equipment.
  2. Add a bookmark on the Tools and Equipment page.
  3. Navigate to another page or log out and log back in.
  4. Select the saved bookmark.

Can this be identified as a defect?

If not, can the service entry be removed from the Navigation designer?

Hi Evindu,

This is not a defect.

By design, a bookmark is intended to retain the page and its parameters, not the position in the navigator from which it was last accessed. These are not two different pages but the same page accessible through multiple navigation paths.

When a bookmark is created, the system saves the page itself and not the navigation path used to reach it. Therefore, when the bookmark is opened, the correct page is displayed. After that, the system attempts to locate a corresponding entry in the navigator to match it. If multiple entries point to the same page, the system will select the first matching entry it finds.

Therefore, if any of the entries are not in use, it is recommended to remove them using the Navigator Designer.

Best Regards,
