We’ve setup Astea in English for all our users, internationally.

In Employees Security, you need to select Regional settings for Mobile Universal. Were can I find wat is the difference between the selections ?

Specific for those settings:

  • 1003 Belgium/Dutch
  • 1004 Belgium/French
  • 1012 France/French
  • 1036 Nederlands/Dutch

If you click on the Regional Settings Lookup you’ll see the differences shown for the date and time formats that will be used on the mobile device for each of these regions.

This means that for Belgium/Dutch, Belgium/French and France/French their is actually no difference?

Differences per country - like keyboard layout - set up on the mobile device are not influenced by this selection in the employee security?

You can see this also in Windows changing the regional settings:

Reid is correct, the main difference is the Date format.

Keyboard layout is defined somewhere else and not impacted by these settings.  Your keyboard is defined on the mobile client itself.

It also affects currency settings if there are differences in currencies between countries. But the main difference is date and time formats as Phil and Reid described.
