We find that when we send a service order to audit queue, it can not be edited at all. It is flagged as Resolved, and we cannot change status, cancel it or do any other changes. Help?

Please check this setting in workflow (service)
Most likely you have it at a different level than here.

Restrict Access to Resolved, Need Audit, or Pending Invoice Orders Enterprise Spring 2019 We added the ability to restrict editing for orders that reach the status of Resolved, Need Audit, or Pending Invoice. You can control the status from which the restricted access will start on the Financial Settings module. Users who should have editing permissions for orders in resolved and beyond status, can be determined on the Employee module by the new Order Audit role that was added to the Roles (Human Resources) module.
Go to Employees - select Position web page and add the role OrderAudit to the user.

I have added the employee role Id and what should be the workflow set as? currently set as Need audit

You need to add OrderAudit role on the user in Employees - Position. The combination worked fine for both Bjorn and myself
If this is not working for you, might check permissions on your security role the user is assigned. Perhaps modify is not allowed?
