This new expansion ‘+’ has appeared in the Dispatch Console with the install of SU7 (Web Portal). This is a feature that was originally part of the Astea Browser and we were more than happy to see it go away. Is there a way to disable this feature so these lines are AWAYS expanded by default?

There is not any method in the UI to auto-expand the row which I can see/find. As pointed out in your post, this is new functionality added since SU7 thus is by design to have the accordion to expand/collapse when there are overlapping activities.
According to the documentation:
There is nothing about setting a default ‘state’ for this option when there are overlapping activities.
If I hear differently from R&D, I will let you know.

I have confirmation from R&D there is not an option to have it auto-expand in the standard product. Any changes like this would have to be done via code customization.

How do we go about getting a request to the developers to put in a toggle switch so we can turn it off and allow the technician activities overlap or as suggested above to auto expand.
The reason being is that if you have a number of nodes open with multiple techs in each, and then have to refresh the screen you have to go back and expand everyone it gets very cumbersome.
