When adding a new activity in Mobile (Mobile Edge 15.3.0.0.1), we need to find the required activity by searching on the description.  We really need to be able to do a complex search, such as %EU%cal%10% or the like.  Is there any way we can use wildcards in mobile searches?  I tried using % and also * but they don’t act as wildcards.  Thanks.

We have simple wildcard functionality already built into the activity drop-down control...as you enter characters into the field we filter the list with matching results after each key is pressed (just pause for a second during the data entry and you’ll see the list of results get narrowed down), but we don’t have any capability built into the app to do complex wildcard searches at this point.  We can log a RFE ticket for that if you like and consider it for a future development sprint.  Here is how it looks (I have a list of about 60 activity codes, the list is now filtered to show only those five entries that contain the ‘ti’ string:

Hi Reid, Thank you for the fast reply.  Yes we do use the auto-wildcard that is built in but we have activities grouped so it would be really nice if we could do something like EU-%ti instead of just ti.  Yes please, it would be nice to add the RFE and perhaps we might see it when we next upgrade.

Thanks again
