Is it possible to make an inventory type obsolete, unusable, etc. so that it can no longer be used? We are attempting to more accurately align and describe our inventory types, but seem unable to make the originals not show up as an option in transactions. Suggestions?

one of the settings for Inventory types is Usable. you can create new inventory type as Non Usable. Then you would need to do create Direct transfer and change Inventory type for the product to the non-usable

In your example, is it possible to delete/remove the original inventory type? We would like for it to no longer be an option for users.
I do not believe that it can be done in the application.
there are logistic transactions captured with original inventory type, so we cannot just delete it - it will casa data integrity issues.
