This tip is for Support / Admin users who are unable to access all modules in Alliance Browser.

Login into Alliance Web Portal → go to your user profile in the Employees module → navigate into the Security menu → toggle the Customizer option → and finally Save the changes.

Quick question: Is the BOBA version of the Alliance application installed and configured in this environment?  I think the back-end development team has steadily been moving modules from the Employee Portal version over to the BOBA version so while the Customizer trick may give you access to all of the modules the intent here is actually to get everyone to transition over to the BOBA version where the majority of the modules have been migrated...so you shouldn’t need to grant Customizer access to access them in this version).

I agree with Reid’s comment.  I do not think that granting user’s Customizer permissions when they should not have it, is a good solution. Usually, organizations limit this access to a few users.

Yes, we have version 15.3 installed on a test environment, We needed to access those modules in the alliance browser for our training purposes, and will take due precautions when handling production systems.

Duly noted, thank you kindly.

Setting the customizer checkbox will automatically toggle the “Bypass Security” checkbox.  This is why setting the employee as a customizer is allowing access to all modules.  Module access is restricted by first licensed products and then by the allowed modules defined by the employee’s security role.  The bypass security setting will erase/ignore the defined security role for the employee.  An alternative is to log into the system as a super-user and change the security role for your user.
