Hello,

We would like any tips to save time when, for instance Service Order module returns a list of records, to be able to copy the value of one field and paste it on the QBE above.

How can we do that ?

ALLIANCE V15.4 SU9

Hi Laurence,

I don’t see how you can do this as any click such as trying to select the text selects the entire row.  This is how the UI works so not possible from directly within the application.

Alliance does not have an option to take a given row and indicate you want to filter by the results seen in the row and would be a redesign of the UI with additional functionality added to support.  Such RFE’s will not developed for standard Alliance and from the question, I suspect you may have a need to do this in more search screens than just service orders.

What is possible to do is EXPORT the search results into an Excel file and from there select text to copy/paste into the appropriate filters.  Obviously this method is more efficient if you need to select more than a single filter value but still it is the only way to copy the value into the filter from the search results.

Of course, the other option is to open the select document record and copy the value from within the document itself and then go back to the search and paste into the field if you don’t want to open an Excel file.

Thank you Phil. I was afraid you say that. Goal is to save time, not having to do any more action, so your suggestion doesn’t match the requirement.

Thank you any way.
