If you have a situation where you are expecting the application log files to be saved to the server and they are not there, please review your settings in the global.xml for the isLoggingFileMode.  It could be turned off:

When the files are written to the system, it will use the Asteashare path definded for the profile.  Normally this would be inside the Asteashare folder defined by the global.xml in the <Asteashare path>\Profiles\<profile>\Filestoragepath\:

Types of log files saved there include contract renewal logs, replenishment logs, etc. These are useful especially when running batch jobs where you cannot monitor what is happening and an error occurs that is recorded in the log file which is a text file.
