Scrapping a parent object in IFS10

It looks like it is not allowed to only scrap the parent object without scrapping each of the child first. Getting this Error Message when trying to scrap ….”All child objects in the structure must be scrapped before scrapping the parent”.  We are using SM objects and also upgraded to IFS 10.  It was possible to scrap this kind of parts in IFS9.  Is there any settings we have missed or has this function been changed in IFS10?

That error is correct. If you want to scrap the entire structure use “Status For Structure”.

We are running into this situation. What do you mean by; “If you want to scrap the entire structure use “Status For Structure”.”  We want to scrap the part out of inventory, the product structure may be used again. When I look in the community about status for structure it talks about the product structure, I don’t want to touch that just the serialized part that is in inventory.
