After the latest release 24R2 V4 - the following error is encountered on all the pages so the system is non useable?

“Failed to retrieve metadata due to internal error” in the details

….

ProjectDefinition/Form (server error)

Sorry, there was an unexpected server error.
OData Request ID: 0e03400d-1f4f-4bcb-9dfa-277ca3561170

Please include the full details of this error (Details button below) when reporting this.

any ideas / fix. I tried dictionary cache clearing - I suspect a IFS bug but no harm in me asking if someone has a golden ticket answer.

TIA

Hello,

We just upgraded to SU4 and face the same issue. Did you manage to solve it?

Kind regards,

/Magnus

it is an ifs bug. concerning custom boolean and enumerators not being handled correctly in their code.

see CS0383838

ifs tried to blame us first - but after a few days outage and they were in our system this is the case we raised and their findings.

Hi,
we faced same issue, here are responses from IFS:

2025-04-10 14:20:26 :

This is a defect identified in 24R2 SU4.

#Root Cause:
The issue was with the CustomObjectMetadata API file. When the functionality was introduced to expose:

>Boolean-type Enum attributes as Boolean, and
>Non-Boolean-type Enum attributes as Enumerations,

As per the RnD team, they handled Boolean-type standard Enum attributes correctly, but did not apply the same logic to non-Boolean standard Enum attributes, which led to the observed errors.

***This fix is scheduled for inclusion in 24R2 SU5, which will be released on April 17, 2025.

we can confirm that the issue has been resolved. Previously, we were able to reproduce the problem in the SU4 updated core environment. However, after testing in the SU5 upgraded environment, we were no longer able to recreate it.

Since the 24R2 SU5 was officially released yesterday (April 17th), we are now resolving this case.
