We have UPS WorldShip connected to our database and are retrieving many fields, which is great! …but we currently store our customers account numbers in document text, and I would like to start storing it by customer address number. Is anyone doing this, and where are you storing the account number? We are on Apps 9.

Hi,

document text should only be used for notes ect. Could you not use a custom field for this?

If you would like to discuss please contact me.

Regards,

Gary

Thank you Gary - we will likely end up using a custom field. I was just trying to make sure there wasn’t already a place for this I did not know about.

IFS does have a freight interface, at least in the US. If I remember correctly it works with World Ship. It can also send back the tracking numbers and freight costs into IFS and associate them with the order.

Lane is correct, the IFS Freight Interface provides places for this to b stored and to hold the return tracking numbers, costs, etc. It adds two new tabs to the customer order screen to see the relevant information per order.

How about “Customer’s Own Address ID”?

Or “Identifier Reference”?

Assuming these are not already in use of course.
