Required Field Setup

Hi, You need to go to admin/system/item styles or just search for item style. The reason you are not seeing ‘REQUIRED_STYLE’ is because it is a baseline style and does not show up in the cust_item_style records unless you add it. By adding it you will be able to change the behavior of the baseline style. Here is what you want to do.

1. go to item styles
2. click the new button
3. click the magnifying glass icon for item style id(which brings up the FSM Item Style View Lookup)
4. click search (in the results you will find ‘REQUIRED_STYLE’)
5. select ‘REQUIRED_STYLE’
6. That will bring it back into the item style screen and you will be able to make changes to it.
7. when finished click save

thank you for your response.

We don’t setup any REQUIRED_STYLE in the Item Styles.

It means we use the baseline REQUIRED_STYLE.

If I understood well, the baseline REQUIRED_STYLE has foreground color 00000 (black).

But this user has red in label of required fields.

Some other users have  black color for those labels. 

Which is supposed to be the correct format, isn’t it?

Any clue what makes the color red?

Hi, 

Are both users using the web client or is one using the smart client. In the web client at least in u24 the item style used for the lable does not appear to follow the style selected in the expanced view(clicking on the circled i). in the smart client it does not matter if its the list view or the expanded view, both show the same style for the label. The value acts the same no matter which client is used.
