I was asked these below questions with regard to the upgrade. Any comments please?

  1. Can Apps 10 provide a public facing webserver to be accessible via Azure WAF’s (Web Application Firewall)?
  2. Is there an option to load balance across 2 to lose single point of failure? The intention is to use hybrid EE and Aurena, does this affect the ability to use the aforementioned Public facing Webserver
  3. Is there support for Windows Server 2022 in the pipeline? If so when?
  4. Oracle ASFU- we have Advanced Dataguard so will it cover licensing against Oracle19c?

Hi Alex,

Yes, it is possible to setup a WAF for a public facing IFS application server. This is something we have already done for few of our customers.

In Azure there are options to load balance to a secondary region if primary region is unavailable and we also couple this solution with Oracle Data Guard to reduce RPO and RTO.

Hope this helps.
