Question

Crystal issue

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

 Hi,

We are reaching out to you regarding an error we have encountered within our IFS system, specifically related to the Crystal Web Service configuration. We need your guidance and expertise to resolve this issue promptly.

The error message we are receiving states:

"Crystal Web Service Instance(s) are incorrectly configured or not reachable. Please contact your system administrator."

We would like to inform you that we have thoroughly checked the Crystal Web Service and it is currently operational. Additionally, the IIS site is functioning correctly, indicating that there are no underlying issues with its configuration. In our troubleshooting efforts, we have attempted to disable the antivirus software temporarily but unfortunately it did not have any positive impact on the error.

As a further step, we restarted the server in the hopes that it would address the problem, but unfortunately the issue persists. We are now seeking your assistance to determine the required actions to resolve this error within the IFS system.

Any guidance, instructions or support you can provide to rectify this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

Asanga

Hi,

Is logging enabled for CWS and set to High while you are diagnosing this issue?

Can you please provide the error details from the CWS log?

Thanks for the response and the log files are empty.  We just tried accessing the default website and cannot access it as well.

Looks like there is some Windows Security that needs to be configured for logging to capture details. Please check this Community link:

@hlhasanga I know this was put up here a year ago but did you ever get to the bottom of this?
I’m experiencing the same error and have troubleshooted the life out of it.

Hi @hlhasanga ,

We had the same problem today
We changed the log file settings: we reduced the log level from HIGH to LOW.

The problem seems to have been solved but we're not sure if it's a real solution.
