Regarding UPD7, is the planned content published somewhere?
For previous updates I have found “What’s new” presentations by Bob Corrigan by Open IFS, but as a decision basis we would need information about the planned content of a coming update as well.

right now we are on a quarterly schedule for Updates, so Upd6 was released in September, Upd7 will be released late December, Upd8 will be released in March etc.
At this point no details have been published around what is planned for Upd7.
If there are specific areas you are interested to know more about I’d recommend you reach out to your IFS Account Manager/Contact to get further clarifications.
