What is the purpose of ‘Use Custom Configuration’ in Report Definition?

@GaSoGB did you get any information regarding the “Use Custom Configuration” tick box? The IFS technical document is lacking information about this

@AveTonitM  I don’t know the exact answer, but I can surmise that it is used as a flag to indicate whether the following three settings (Create Xml, Create Result Set, Default Layout Type), are used to determine the default layout picked for the report.

In IFS Apps 10, the setting is placed at the header of a group containing the other three settings and the other three settings are only editable if the “Use Custom Configuration” box is ticked.  In IFS Cloud, that dependency is removed, although I think you’d still need to tick the box to signal that you want your custom configuration to be used.

There is information in the Tech Docs on the default layout functionality, although the “Use Custom Configuration” toggle is omitted.
